Miss Caitie (Director)

I am the proud director/owner of Sunshine & Rainbows, Ms Caitie! Ever since I was young, I knew that my passion was to make a difference for the little people of our world, to give them a voice and to let them be heard. Through that passion, I spent my time in school educating myself on early education and care and human services, graduating as the first class of Sunshine & Rainbows on the start of that journey.

After graduating college and traveling around the world, I opened an infant/toddler program. When my mother, founder of Sunshine & Rainbows was ready to retire in 2007, it was my turn to take it from there. Seeing children come into their own has always been a wonder to me. Watching them develop their personalities and them allowing me to be a part of their discoveries are the greatest gifts!

My husband, Mr. Caitie (Carl) is a DY high school, science teacher. Together we have 3 pretty amazing children that bring us so much joy (Sophia, Camille and Grayson)!  We love to travel, camp, go to the beach, hike and be together. I am a big reader, too! I love mint chocolate chip ice cream and my favorite color is yellow, just like the sun!

Ms. Jen (Junior Kindergarten)

Hi, I’m Huxley! I love it when me and my mom, Ms Caitie go to school! The kids at Sunshine and Rainbows LOVE me! I know that because of all the nice smiles and pats they give me! My favorite part of my day is circle time when I get to sit with the kids and listen to stories. I’m super soft and fluffy and have curly hair like my mom!

When I’m not at school with all my friends, I like going for long walks with my family. I don’t know what my favorite ice cream is because I’m not sure what that is? But I sure do like doggy treats!

Hi, I’m Ms. Sandy. I’m so happy to be joining the Sunshine and Rainbows family. This will be my first year and it already feels like home. I’m looking forward to connecting, teaching, and learning with your children.

I come with 20 years of experience from the public schools. I love creating fun learning activities.

My favorite ice cream is almond joy. My favorite color is orange. In my free time I like to vacation at Disneyworld, hike, and read books.

I have been teaching young children for over 20 years. I am EEC certified to work with infant/toddler and preschool aged children. I am very excited to join the Sunshine and Rainbows early learning center family.

My favorite thing as a teacher is watching children grow and learn. I love the pride and joy each child experiences when they make a new friend or master a new task. I am dedicated to providing a nurturing classroom for every child I work with. I love children’s literature and am always excited to share one of my favorite books. I can never read the same book too many times.

I live in Yarmouthport with my husband. We have two daughters that are attending college, and a two year old puppy. I love our Boston sports teams. I enjoy walks on the beach, hiking and reading. My favorite color is blue and I love chocolate chip ice cream.

Hi! My name is Ms. Christie! I love being a member of the Sunshine & Rainbows family. I am a Cape Cod native and live in Yarmouth Port with my wonderful family! I am a mother of 4 beautiful children ranging from ages 7 to 18 years old. I have worked at Station Ave elementary as a duty assistant and just loved being with kindergarten children. Just seeing their little eyes light up learning new things and helping to expand their emotional growth drives me. I am currently gettin my Early Education and Care certification and plan on expanding my knowledge and skills here at Sunshine & Rainbows. I love spending my summers boating with my family and the winters up North at our family cabin. My favorite holiday is the Fourth of July because I love seeing all of the beautiful fireworks over the bayside of Cape Cod! I look forward to tons of laughter, learning and new adventures at Sunshine & Rainbows!

Hi there families, I’m Tara and I’m so excited to be working back at Sunshine Rainbows! This is my 31st year teaching children and my 2nd year back at S&R. One of my biggest joys in life was adopting my beautiful daughter, but working with young children before her was my true passion.  There is nothing better than watching a little one roll over, crawl, take those first steps or make those, oh so adorable, noises.

A few little fun facts about me- I am a Cape Cod Native and I married my high school sweetheart. We live in Brewster with our soon to be 10 year old daughter and two cats. If I’m not snuggling your babies I’m off with my family looking for adventure or driving the cape in our Slingshots. My favorite ice cream is Mint Chocolate Chip, I am obsessed with chocolate, I hate scary movies and I love snuggling my daughter while we read a good book. I’m super excited to be making some lasting memories with your little ones!

Hi, my name is Ms. Kim! I am a native Cape Codder and proud to be raising my 3, soon to be 4 boys (Due Oct!) on Cape Cod! I have been taking care of kids in some capacity for over 15 years! I love being in the classroom watching kids work so hard and finally mastering a skill! Their pure joy and excitement has been the most rewarding part of teaching.

Some fun facts about me: My favorite ice cream is anything peanut butter! My favorite color is green. I love anything to do with sharks. When I am not at school I love to spend time with my family, sewing, crocheting, and going out to eat!

Hello Sunshine and Rainbows, my name is Ms. Katelin.

This is my first start of the school year at Sunshine and Rainbows. Last year I started as a substitute teacher and ended the school year working across all age groups. I have worked many different jobs since graduating from college but have always had a love for working with young kids. This year I have found a home in the infant room.

I am a native Cape Codder and recently got married to Mr. Andrew in 2024. We are excited to start a family and further our roots on the Cape. We enjoy staying active with walks and lifting, in addition to spending time with our families.

My favorite thing about being a teacher is watching children reaching all the little milestones in addition to all the snuggles. My favorite color is mint green. I have a gluten and dairy allergy so getting ice cream can be tricky but, I love Coffee Oreo from Sweet Izzy’s in Harwich.
